SUMMARY:Pride March
DESCRIPTION:For the fourth year\, we are holding a pride march rather than a parade. We will get to the party at Come Together\, but first it’s important that we take a moment to recognize that we are still fighting for our rights. \nJoin us at Miner’s Marsh to hear our 2026 Pride March speakers\, then take up space with us as we march through the streets of Kentville. SUMMARY:Ask a Trans Person
DESCRIPTION:Join two of Canada’s leading trans activists for a no-questions-off-limits Q&A on all trans topics. \nYou probably have a lot of unanswered questions about trans people and issues.. Maybe you’re worried about what’s being taught in the classroom\, or about what healthcare services are being offered to trans youth. You’ve heard terms like “parental rights” thrown around. You haven’t felt able to ask your questions and get answers that make sense to you. \nWe get it\, we understand. But what’s the other side of the story? \nThrough conversation we can find common ground – we have more in common than we think. Let’s remove the politics and hot takes and connect as people. \nWe want to hear your worries and share our side of the story. That’s why Fae Johnstone and Victoria Bucholtz\, two of Canada’s most prominent trans activists\, are coming to town to answer all your gender questions. \nThis is your chance to get your questions answered – yes\, even the tough ones. No judgement\, no name calling. Instead\, we’ll give you our honest takes — and we think they’ll win you over. \nJoin us for an event filled with candid conversation. Hear from Victoria and Fae as they make the case for trans rights\, and then dive into an interactive Question and Answer period where nothing* is off limits. \nReserve your spot today! \n*Okay\, there are exceptions – threats and personal attacks aren’t welcome. \nThis event is brought to you by Queer Momentum\, TransAction Alberta\, Fierte Canada Pride\, and Valley Pride.

He has become a regular at comedy clubs and open mics\, with his witty\, charming\, and fun dark humor (with a massive hint of self-deprecation). Whether he’s talking about his brown heritage\, attempts at dating or goals of being a trophy husband\, he has something that resonates with anyone. Abhishek most recently appeared in the HubCap Comedy Festival\, as one of the finalists in the Open-Mic competition. He is the producer of the “Comedy Stage” which won the “Audience Choice” award as part of OutFest 2025. She’s a musician\, teacher\, and award winning radio host with CKDU. Nicole moved from Corner Brook\, Newfoundland to Halifax\, Nova Scotia in 2017 to attend the University of King’s College and Dalhousie’s bachelor of music program. You can usually find her cuddling with her cats Martin and Mabel\, and her wife Emma\, listening to Leonard Cohen\, and munching on sour cream and onion chips. \n  \n  \n  \n \nSadie (she/her) \nSadie makes her stage debut as a flow artist with Valley Pride this June! Let the flow wash over you and enjoy falling into a trance while watching her whip around a hoop and LEDs. Prepare yourself for bubblegum pink vibes\, a playful performance and if you get lucky enough – a hula hoop to the face! \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nMorticious (she/her) \nMorticious is becoming a mother tonight — and YOU get to witness the miracle of life. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nVanessa Buttercup (she/her) \nStraddling the line of style and eras\, Vanessa Buttercup never settles into just one. Sultry slow burns to high energy hijinks\, both the seduction and the surprise. The kind of performer who walks in with a wink and leaves you wondering what just happened. Never just one thing\, she’s everything. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nQueera Bang (they/them) \nQueera Bang (they/them) is a non-binary performer/producer with the goal of creating more access to queer events\, safe spaces\, and visibility for Trans folks and youth in rural areas. They strive to create shows and spaces that celebrate gender diversity and drag beyond the world of Rupaul. Queera is known for their activism\, roller skating antics\, and ridiculousness on the mic.
