SUMMARY:Let's Spill the Tea.... Leaves: A Tea Blending Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join award-winning tea shop\, The Teapothecary\, for a hands-on exploration of tea\, history\, and self-expression. In this interactive workshop\, participants will learn the fundamentals of tea blending\, including how to balance base\, middle\, and top notes to create a harmonious and flavourful blend. \nWe’ll also explore the fascinating history of tea and uncover some of the lesser-known ways tea houses\, cafés\, and tea culture have intersected with queer communities throughout history. Each participant will leave with a custom sample-sized tea blend they have created themselves\, along with the knowledge and confidence to continue experimenting at home. \nPre-register for this free event here! \nAbout the Instructor \nWanda White is the founder and owner of The Teapothecary\, an award-winning Halifax tea shop where tea\, art\, history\, and community come together. A queer entrepreneur\, tea blender\, and storyteller\, Wanda is passionate about creating welcoming spaces that celebrate curiosity\, creativity\, and connection. Through her historically inspired and literary-themed tea collections\, educational workshops\, and support of local artists\, she strives to make tea both accessible and meaningful while fostering community through shared stories and experiences.
