Being 2SQTBIPOC in the Valley – postponed

June 21 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

****Please note that this event has been postponed and will be rescheduled for later this summer. Stay tuned for details!****

This project will center QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities, ensuring their voices, experiences, and expertise shape the path forward.

As part of our QTBIPOC Skills Project, Halifax Pride is hosting a series of focus groups to better understand the experiences, needs, and priorities of QTBIPOC people across Nova Scotia’s 2SLGBTQIA+ nonprofit sector.

All sessions require advance registration.

These focus groups are specifically for people who identify as QTBIPOC. The goal is to create space for honest, community-led conversations grounded in lived experience.

We’ll be hosting additional focus groups in June that are open to all staff members of queer nonprofit organizations.

At the conclusion of the project, a series of recommendations will be published to guide institutions, non-profits, and policymakers in dismantling professional barriers and strengthening the 2SQTBIPOC community across Nova Scotia and beyond.
